A Nice Vacation

We spent the weekend in Flagstaff for Alec's graduation. Jameson was very good most of the time, and had a good time seeing everyone in the family. We rode up with Grandma and Uncle Caleb, who entertained Jameson and got him to go to sleep in the car.

Uncle Jaime has a wonderful hammock/chair on the front patio, and Jameson loved sitting with anyone and everyone in that thing.

Saturday afternoon Nathan put Jameson down for a nap, and ended up taking a nap himself. I think he laid down so he could talk to Jameson through the mesh, then just dozed off, and Jameson followed suit.

After the nap.

Grandma fed Jameson lunch, while the boys schemed in the background. Nathan, Caleb, Alec and William making plans to do something ridiculous. They ended up playing frisbee back and forth, over the house.

Really not interested in the corn. He cried when we insisted.

Getting sleepy. He drained an entire bottle of water, recuperating from the sun.

The new owners of the inn next door have some large birds. Jameson really wanted to grab them, and they really wanted to grab him! We kept him far enough away so he couldn't be bit. They followed us around as we walked around the cage, and the little gray one inside imitated what we said. He even squawked like Jameson once!

I went back to the hotel with Jameson early so he could have a semi-normal night. He crawled all around the hotel room, and saw something under the bed.

It was a nice trip, but we were all glad to be back.

Today we had another first. Jameson was crying in his crib, not wanting to take a nap. I noticed that the cries had changed from "sleepy-but-don't-want-to-sleep" cry to "scared or confused" cry. I figured his leg was stuck in the bars. Normally when I go in to check on him, I have to look over the edge of the crib to see him, but when I opened the door it felt like the entire crib was leaning or too low or something. I could see his face, and it was much to close. What was going on? He was standing up, of course. He was right in the corner by the door, up on one foot and one knee, and just crying. I suppose he doesn't know how to get down! As soon as I put him down on his back, he went right to sleep!
