Vacuum?

In the Bowyers backyard. Jameson is carrying around a long watering nozzle and calling it his vacuum.

Charlie!

Jameson really likes going to visit Charlie.  He asks to go there just about as much as he asks for Aunt Leah.  Grandma still beats them both, though.  We gave Charlie Jameson's old bouncer, and Jameson likes to play in it when we visit. Charlie apparently ignores it until Jameson comes over.

"Downs"

Jameson and I spent last night at our pastors house. They are moving tt New Jersey soon, so the adults were out there putting in an offer on a house. I was there to watch the two youngest kids, 3 and 5 year old girls. When they found out that I was coming over, they were very very excited. No, scratch that. When they found out that Jameson was coming, they were excited. I think they learned my name just yesterday.

Gracie, the 5 year old, asked to use my camera, and she was very careful with it. But I didn't realize at first that it was on video mode, so we ended up with several unintentional videos. This is my favorite.

Jameson loved the stairs. When we first arrived, we went up to the boys room so he could see where he would be sleeping. I think the girls were excited to get to play with their brother's things, so we stayed in there for awhile. After going downstairs and playing outside for a few minutes, Jameson decided he wanted all those toys again. He was halfway up the stairs before I knew it.

I figured he should learn how to go down stairs as well, and he picked that right up. He went nearly all the way down, then back up again, and Gracie caught him going back down once more.

The house was just perfect for Jameson. (It should be, with six kids living there!) He had a lot of fun coloring with the youngest, although his attention span was much shorter than hers.

He also quickly discovered that the doors in their house were much easier to open than ours. So he investigated the pantry.

And Gracie took a self portrait while I cleaned up.

New Camera!

(Note: If there is a picture of a fudge pan up there, I'm sorry. Wasn't supposed to be there, and it won't go away)

I know that Mother's Day isn't until tomorrow, but Nathan decided to give me a present today. He gave the bag to Jameson to bring to me, and Jameson came trotting into the room saying "show mama show mama".

It was a new camera! It's very nice, and has a "moving child" mode. I didn't get a chance to try it out before Jameson went to sleep, but I snuck into his room just now.

I had a big moment the other day with Jameson and Nathan. Nathan was about to get into the shower, and Jameson was finishing dinner, ready for a bath. So Nathan asks if Jameson wants to take a shower. He very enthusiastically says "Yes!"

So Nathan goes into the bathroom and starts the water, Jameson follows him, and I grab an extra towel for them. I start to walk into the bathroom with them, but Jameson grabs the door and starts to close it. I know the game - Jameson loves to play "close the door on mommy". He closes it, he laughs, I knock, he laughs, I open the door, he laughs. But it doesn't go that way this time.

I ask, "Do I not need to be in here?"

"No."

Door shut.

No laughing.

My little boy is going to take a shower with daddy, and I don't need to be there.

Granted, Jameson started screaming within a minute of getting into the shower. But still. My little boy is growing up.
